The proper location to install the plug-ins is the Adobe Photoshop CS3 Folder/Plug-ins/Automate folder. You can choose to run the installer in auto-search mode (English versions of Photoshop only) which will locate all 'Automate' folders on your system. Be sure to select only the Photoshop CS3 Automate folder.

The GM versions of the products will pick up and use your current products' serial numbers if you have already installed and used them on the machine on which you are installing. However, if you are installing them for the first time, you will need to enter your original product serial numbers for the current versions when prompted. Note that only PhotoKit Color 2.x serial numbers will work for the PhotoKit Color 2 UB beta. PhotoKit Color 1.x serial numbers will not be accepted.

NOTICE: BY POPULAR DEMAND, PIXELGENIUS HAS MADE OUR PRODUCT SERIAL NUMBERS CROSS-PLATFORM

Over the past year or so, a large number of our users have found themselves in mixed-platform environments, as a result PixelGenius has decided that, starting with THESE new versions, serial numbers will work, cross-platform. So, if you have a MacBook Pro laptop and a Windows tower, the same serial number will work on either machine. We will continue to sell both Mac and Windows versions and maintain separate product SKUs, but these new Mac and Windows versions of our products will accept either a valid Mac serial number or a valid Windows serial number.

However, in order to accomplish this, we've had to incorporate product activation as part of this cross-platform serial number scheme. So, just as Photoshop since version CS2 has had product activation, we've incorporated a new and improved activation scheme from eSellerate (click HERE to see more about product activation). Our End User License Agreement (EULA) remains the same. You are entitled to install and now activate our products on two separate computers-not to be used at the same time. If you install and activate both a Macintosh and Windows version, this will count as your two activations. If you are having issues activating please contact Tech Support at the Support tab above. If for some reason activating fails because you don't have an updated eSellerate Engine installed (this can happen if you have an older product using eSellerate's engine) you can update the eSellerate Engine at this download page (for Mac and Windows).

Activation can be done automatically over the Internet or manually if your machine is not "net" connected. Note, you WILL still need to have a computer handy that is net connected to obtain your manual activation ID key. To manually activate your product click HERE.

As with Photoshop, you can, when connected to the Internet, both activate and deactivate your products should you wish to move your licenses to different computers. Note: manual deactivation is not currently available or possible. We will be posting Product Activation Info Pages in the near future to explain the exact process and provide Customer Support for Activation issues.

Golden Master (GM) NOTES: The GMs of PixelGenius products are now officially supported by PixelGenius. All three products have been tested and are compatible with Photoshop, however, there are some known issues;

  • Some of our plug-in modules when run under Photoshop CS3 can not be started when an adjustment layer is the currently targeted layer-the work around is to select a pixel based layer. PixelGenius believes this is a bug with Photoshop CS3 and not our products and we've contacted Adobe about this issue.
  • Photoshop CS2 under Vista is not officially supported by Adobe, so our products can not be officially supported either. The work around is to make sure the Photoshop CS2 application is run under Admin Permissions.
  • Adobe does not recommend running any earlier version of Photoshop than Photoshop CS2 under Vista and PixelGenius will not support any of our products running under any other version of Photoshop besides Photoshop CS3 or Photoshop CS3 Extended.
